Fun :-)

When I was a little child, I thought the best thing in the whole world was to go swimming. I dont know if Daniel will love it as much as I did, but he seems to enjoy going to the swimmingpool in town. It has been closed for a few months, so we havnt been able to go there for a while. But finally this week, they opened it again. We look forward to go there many times the next months!

Our neighbours

When Daniel was born we got a little gift from one of our neighbours. We didnt know them very well. Steen had talked to them several times, but I didnt know them at all. I dont think I even knew their names. Well, we got a little toy for Daniel, and when they got a baby boy a month later we bought them a little gift. Steen went over to give them the gift, and during the conversation they find out that we picked the same name for the two baby boys. As a just wrote, we didnt know them very well, and we had absolutly no clue that they also had decidet to name their little boy Daniel... It was kind of weird, because Daniel is not even one of the top 10 names in Denmark right now.

So now there is a baby Daniel at Hybenvej 6 and one at Hybenvej 8. :-)

Time has passed since the two Daniels was born in January, and I have been lucky to get to know our neighbours better these months. That has been really nice. Now we use to go on walks with our babies nearly every day together. We also were put together in the same "mødregruppe/barselgruppe" (dont know the word for that in english).

Maja, the mother of the other Daniel is so cute. When she was making cakes for another friend, she also made one for us. It tasted delicious. Straberry cream and toblerone cream!! Its a "beach cake".

And yesterday she had made kind of a pillow for my Daniel. In Denmark they use really big strollers. They are very good and safe for sleeping outside, but for a very curious 6 month old baby, laying down in a stroller can be pretty boring.... Now Daniel seems to enjoy himselves a lot better when we go for a walk. Thank you Maja!

Summertime!

The sun is shining. We have been outside since early morning. Later today we will go to the beach I think. Just wanted to share some summer-pictures. These are taken the last few days.....

so the parents could have a date-night alone.

Daniel is testing a pillow especially made for strollers.

England

Its Sunday. Just came home from church. A little earlier than usuall since steen didnt feel very well. Now they both are sleeping. My two cute boys. Steen and Daniel. Its very quiet.

For a while I have thought about sharing a few photos from our trip til England last month. Steen was asked to be the best man of Allan when he got married. Allan is a good friend and co-worker of Steen. He married an english girl - Amber. And now they live in Denmark. But the wedding was going to be in her homeland, in the city of Poole.

At first we thought it would be easier if steen went there alone. He wanted to take a week of and see some of the places and people he met on his mission. He served in England London South mission. I wanted to go home and see my family in Norway while he was gone. Then we found some really cheap tickets, so we changed our mind and made it a family trip instead. Daniel loves to be with his dad, so we decided to go all of us even if it would be a little more complicated. First of all Daniel got his own passport. It was sooo cute.

The trip went very well, we had a good time together, and the wedding was fantastic. An english wedding with a lot of danish traditions mixed in. It was so fun to see how the englishmen adapted the danish tradition.
For me it was also very exciteing to see Steens old mission field and meet his old friends there. We met a lot of nice, hospitable people.

We also got the chance to visit London temple. I enjoyed it very much.
